| Yeah, it rained hard here last night and today. It rained so hard that it actually washed the bird poo off my car. Pretty glad I didn't pay for that car wash last week, huh? Found out our roof leaks over our porch again. Oh, well. Guess it cleaned out that part of the house. Isn't God great? Things are going, one day at a time. Work flew by today. We're hoping to sell Steph's Honda. Youth Group starts soon. Have you ever thought just how life flies by? I've been reading Ezekial during my lunch breaks lately. If you want some imagery and haven't read it lately, do it. It's really good stuff. Oh, and Steph says I'm stuck with her. Pretty sure that's my privilege :) | | |
| Vacation is cool. Steph and I are camping in her home area and visiting some folks. Thursday, we're planning to go to Lake Ann Camp to spend a few days in that area. Maybe we'll get to go to East Bay on Sunday? | | |
| So yay for married life. Why do people ask me, "So how do you like married life?" Isn't life what you make of it? Sure there will always be adjustments, but that would be the case even if I never married. It's just the adjustments are different. Am I contradicting myself? Today Steph and I attended 4 graduation open houses, one unplanned. Yeah, it turns out we were trying to attend one that we were only vaguely sure where it was and it was right next door to another we weren't invited to. So we drove in and recognized a bunch of the guests so thought we were at the right place until we asked about the graduate and then thought, "oops, wrong open house." Anyway, I knew the family and stayed awhile and chatted anyway, but it had been about 10 years since I had seen the graduate, so she didn't recognize me. Kinda awkward, but funny. I told her, "sure if I knew you were graduating, I'd have a card for you." Felt pretty tacky with that remark, but whatdyado? Afterwards, I felt pretty tacky when we went to the strawberry patch to pick some on a whim. Steph never had picked berries before so she pulled out the camara to capture the moments. I love that girl, and that wasn't the tacky part. When we went to pay, I was $1.85 short in my wallet and I thought, "darn it!" The owner that was taking my money was joking with me - he didn't care and said it was okay to just take the berries. But I didn't feel right about that so we dug through the car for the remaining amount and paid him and he made fun of me again. Felt tacky, but better for not thinking I was stealing. This was a good day overall. Pray for Lake Ann staff as the first week of camp starts Monday and it's usually a high-strung week with everyone trying to make everything run smoothly. And my brother Aaron is there as a counselor - pray for him as it will be a demanding and very growing summer. I miss Aaron... | | |
| Happy birthday, Mom (tomorrow)! I love you! Yes, I'm still alive and loving it. Been burning the candle at both ends and even the sides. For some reason, Steph and I thought life would be less hectic after the wedding - but not so much yet. Maybe there's light at the end of the tunnel? We're having our last wedding related event on the 19th (reception in Middlebury, IN). We're both looking forward to it, but we'll be glad when the planning and stress attached to it is all behind us. Wedding pictures to come soon... | | |
| After what seems like trillions of hours, the amazing Stephanie is nearly ready to send out invitations. We do, however, have people we would like to send invites to, but we're missing addresses. What to do? Thus, this post.
Details........ Where: Lake Ann Camp (Bolthouse Memorial Chapel) When: Saturday, April 21, 2:00 pm with reception immediately following in the dining hall
If you're serious about coming, we'd love to have you there. Just message me or Stephanie through xanga with your contact information, and we'll contact you with more details. We have a large list of people that will be receiving invites by this Friday or sooner, and we certainly don't wish to leave anyone out that would like to come. We need to have things nailed down by the 30th, so act now if you wish to come...
By the way, Lake Ann is a great place to be... (Steph says, "AMEN")
